I think one of the things that SG does well is the fact it keeps the characters personalities, while under different circumstances with different issues, they’re all fundamentally still themselves, A lot of ‘switch’ stories just change the characters to fit with their opposites molds, Character X just acts like character Z while vice versa Meanwhile SG, character X still acts like character X just in character Z’s situation

Hey, have some of you heard of the Energon universe/Transformers skybound?

While the role reversal stuff is fun and all, im pretty sure the point of the mirrorverse which is what shattered glass is based on, wasn't just making good characters bad and bad characters good. It was to show how different humanity would be had they chose a different path in startreck and became a facist empire, the aliens like vulcans were still, good people after all. It was just humanity that had gone wrong... And I tend to find those stories more interesting...

I've seen some comments here asking to cover the Original Run of Shattered Glass by Fun Pub and I think that would be great. Fun Pub really liked multiverse stories so almost none of it is entirely contained in the shattered glass universe. Also there were several tie in toys receiving a scattered and limited release between 2008 and 2016 that have various little nods to the history of the franchise. Like the Optimus toy having "I Shall Stand. The Rest Shall Fall" painted on the side of his truck mode.

Dope,ur doing this, was always a fan of tmnt , I personally don't like that they basically did the origin story for the Micheal Bay movies. It doesn't really make any sense how they know how to fight . Great covering tho .

Its always amazing to see AUs like shattered glass. Supposedly the Shattered glass universe was gonna be in transformers animated but the next season of animated was cancelled

I really hope someday someone covers the original Shattered Glass story. Not the IDW one.

There is the fan made shattered glass prime comic series by sound bluster on deviant. Unfortunately it was recently put on indefinite hiatus for various reasons (including toxic fans and harassment unfortunately), but it’s a good read which keeps the vibe of SG and prime. While unfinished, it’s still brilliant.

Not going to lie. I dislike this series. Never appealed to me.

I also recommend to you, and your audience to check out the Original Shattered Glass that was released back when Fun Publications had the rights to host BotCon, aka the storyline that started back in 2008 where Classics (or G1 Marvel Comics US) Cliffjumper was accidentally transported over to an alternate universe where Autobots are evil and Decepticons are good

Imagine G1 but the roles are reversed. No litterally like megatron being the one to explain to spike what their faction means and Thundercracker being the earth finatic lol. Imagine Having Rumble (FIRRIB) as the kid apeal

I have always liked TMNT as a teenager, this made me love them as an adult. Everything that i liked about TMNT, all the cool characters and mutants from across all the different iterations, the origin of splinter/shredder and the turtles, everything was put in a way better context here. While it got darker and more serious it didn't forget its goofyness. This is the only canon for me and if they really make another movie i hope they will use this as a base. Have fun reading it!!!

Great video. I loved the story but Im not a fan of a lot of the color palettes they used. I also dont like how extremely ruthless they make the bad Autobots. They are far more sadistic then the normal Decepticons.
